The First Post! A Catch up on Life

So my roommate/teammate/friend Laura has a blog for all of her family, friends, and supporters to read about her job and life here at the University of Kentucky and I think that this is a fabulous idea. The vision of this blog is simple: its an effective way to keep in contact with all my friends and family as well as to let them know what exactly I am doing in the middle of Kentucky working as a missionary. For many, the idea of working as a missionary is not an easy thing to understand. I also was unsure of what the day to day activities would look like. But now that I am settled into beautiful Lexington, Kentucky and am familiar with the University my schedule is becoming more consistent. I am beginning to experience many joys as a missionary as well as many of the struggles and challenges. It is my hope that I can convey some of these to you in this blog. My immediate and extended family means so much to me and because I have been quite far away for some time now I feel "distanced" from everyone out on the non-humid West Coast. As for my friends, with graduation finished and new lives beginning for everyone, this is a great way to keep in touch. Let me know if you have a blog of your own!
